Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Reach Truck & Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for operating reach trucks and forklifts to move, load, and store materials accurately and efficiently while following company safety procedures and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate has valid certifications, proven material handling experience, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move pallets and goods within the warehouse and to and from delivery vehicles.

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring correct placement of goods and preventing damage to products and equipment.

• Perform accurate picking, packing, stacking, and staging of products according to shipping orders, manifests, and warehouse layout plans.

• Inspect equipment prior to each shift, report defects or maintenance needs, and perform basic daily maintenance tasks (fueling, battery charging, cleaning) as required.

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to traffic patterns and load limits.

• Maintain accurate records of material movements, complete required paperwork or electronic logs, and assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.

• Assist with general warehouse housekeeping to ensure aisles, racking, and work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and team members to coordinate tasks and support efficient warehouse operations.

• Support receiving and put-away processes, verifying quantities and condition of incoming shipments and reporting discrepancies.

• Participate in training, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and safety culture.

Required Qualifications

• Valid reach truck and forklift operator certification or license; formal training from an accredited program preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating reach trucks and forklifts in a warehouse, distribution center, or industrial environment.

• Ability to read and follow shipping documents, pick lists, and standard operating procedures accurately.

• Legal authorization to work in the hiring country.

Required Skills

• Proven safe operation skills with strong spatial awareness and the ability to maneuver equipment in narrow aisles and tight spaces.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and completing paperwork or electronic logs.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.

• Basic mechanical aptitude to identify minor equipment issues and perform routine checks.

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as operational needs require.

• Physically able to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to company-specified weights, standing for extended periods, and climbing into equipment safely.

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners is a plus.
