Forklift Driver
Operate company forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently while supporting warehouse and logistics operations. Primary Responsibilities – Safe material handling and warehouse support
Operate counterbalance, reach, or pallet jack forklifts to move pallets, crates, and other materials within the warehouse, production, and loading dock areas in accordance with site procedures and safety rules.
Load and unload delivery vehicles, trailers, and containers, ensuring proper stacking, strapping, and weight distribution to prevent damage and maintain stability during transport.
Stage and place materials for production lines, order pickers, and shipping, following inventory location instructions and picking lists to support on-time operations.
Perform basic inventory tasks such as cycle counts, verification of received goods against packing lists, and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
Inspect forklifts and related equipment before each shift, complete pre-operation checklists, and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, aisles, and loading zones by removing debris and securing loose materials to reduce trip and fire hazards.
Follow safe lifting practices and warehouse safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in safety trainings and toolbox talks as scheduled.
Coordinate with warehouse leads, shipping/receiving, and logistics teams to prioritize tasks, support inbound and outbound workflows, and escalate issues affecting throughput.
Complete required documentation for material movements, damage reports, and equipment logs using paper forms or digital warehouse management systems as directed.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach to help meet operational goals.
Qualifications and Skills – Safe, reliable, and process-oriented
Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating warehouse forklifts (counterbalance, reach, or order picker) in a commercial environment.
1+ years of warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience preferred; entry-level candidates with certification and strong safety mindset are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of basic material handling best practices, load securement, and safe stacking techniques to protect products and people.
Ability to read and follow written instructions, pick lists, labels, and basic schematics; comfortable using barcode scanners, tablets, or warehouse management systems.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift up to company-standard weights; able to work in variable temperature warehouse conditions.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy when staging orders and recording inventory movements.
Good communication skills in English for coordination with team members and reporting to supervisors.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts which may include early mornings, evenings, or occasional overtime as business needs dictate.
