Accommodation Services Worker
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Accommodation Services Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. This role provides a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained living environment for residents, delivering high-quality hospitality and support services. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, organized, and works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure residents’ needs are met with dignity and professionalism.
Core Accountabilities:
Resident Care & Customer Service:
Greet and orient residents and visitors in a friendly, respectful manner; respond to inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
Provide basic support to residents as required, including assistance with daily living tasks, guidance on facilities, and referral to appropriate services while maintaining resident privacy and dignity.
Build positive relationships with residents to promote a supportive, inclusive community atmosphere.
Housekeeping & Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning duties in common areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Carry out basic maintenance tasks, report repair needs, and coordinate with maintenance or external contractors to ensure timely resolution.
Follow cleaning schedules, infection control protocols, and safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Food Service & Facilities Support:
Assist with meal service operations, including food preparation support, serving, clearing, and maintaining dining areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
Assist with inventory checks for supplies, stock rotation, and restocking of communal areas and service carts.
Support setup and cleanup for events or activities hosted in accommodation facilities.
Operations, Safety & Compliance:
Follow company policies, procedures, and emergency protocols to maintain resident and staff safety at all times.
Complete accurate logs and incident reports, communicate concerns to supervisors, and participate in handovers to ensure continuity of care and services.
Adhere to confidentiality requirements and professional standards when handling resident information.
Collaboration & Professionalism:
Work closely with accommodation managers, care teams, and external providers to coordinate services and resolve resident concerns.
Contribute to a positive team environment through clear communication, flexibility, and a willingness to support colleagues during peak periods.
Represent the organization with integrity, maintaining professional appearance and conduct in line with company standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience:
Previous experience in accommodation, hospitality, residential care, or a customer-facing support role is preferred (1+ years desirable).
Familiarity with basic cleaning and food service practices, health and safety requirements, and record-keeping is advantageous.
Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of resident-focused service delivery is a plus.
