Cybersecurity Manager
Niceone is looking for a driven and knowledgeable professional to help launch and build our Cybersecurity department. As a key member of our technology team, you will establish information security policies, lead implementation of cybersecurity solutions, and ensure protection of assets, data, and systems across all company infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities: Cybersecurity Management, Strategy, and Department Building
- Department Establishment: Develop and execute a roadmap for building the Cybersecurity department, including defining team structure, hiring needs, processes, and policies.
- Security Strategy & Governance: Lead the creation and maintenance of company-wide information security policies, protocols, standards, and best practices aligned with business goals.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security audits; recommend and implement measures to minimize risk to applications, data, endpoints, and networks.
- Security Operations: Oversee design and operation of security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence capabilities; develop incident response plans and manage investigations of security events.
- Cybersecurity Awareness & Training: Promote a security-first culture by designing and delivering employee education programs and best-practice guides for all levels and departments.
- Collaboration & Compliance: Work closely with IT, product, and management teams, and ensure compliance with applicable security frameworks, data protection laws, and regulatory requirements (such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or NCA ECC).
- Vendor & Tool Management: Lead selection, deployment, and ongoing management of cybersecurity tools, services, and external partners.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Cybersecurity Manager
- Experience: 5+ years in IT security or cybersecurity, with 1+ years in leadership, team lead, or departmental build experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are strong assets.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of network security, application security, endpoint protection, cloud security, identity and access management, and security architecture.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to assess complex security scenarios and formulate practical solutions within business constraints.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical threats and requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to coach, inspire, and organize a diverse team; strong cross-functional partnership skills.
- Analytical Aptitude: Skilled at interpreting risk and incident data to drive decision-making, process improvement, and continuous enhancement of security posture.
