Key Responsibilities for Forklift Operator in Warehouse Logistics

• Safe Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (MHE) in a safe, responsible manner, following all company safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and move goods and pallets throughout the warehouse to designated areas, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Assist with the organization and tracking of inventory, reporting discrepancies and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Inspection and Reporting: Carry out daily equipment checks, document maintenance needs, and promptly report any issues to supervisors.
• Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with warehouse staff and supervisors to achieve operational targets and maintain a safe working environment.
• Compliance: Follow all workplace guidelines related to loading, stacking, and material storage to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Forklift Driver Skills and Requirements

• Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is required; additional MHE licenses are considered an asset.
• Experience: Prior experience operating forklifts or related warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Safety Commitment: Strong commitment to workplace safety and a proven record of safe equipment handling.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy items, and perform tasks that may involve standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods.
• Organization: Attention to detail and the ability to keep work areas and inventory organized.
• Communication Skills: Positive, clear communication abilities to interact with team members and supervisors.
