Key Responsibilities in Investor Relations and Corporate Governance

Investor Relations Strategy:
Develop and implement effective investor relations strategies to maintain positive relationships with investors and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term vision. -
Communication Management:
Prepare and deliver clear and concise communication to investors, including financial reports, press releases, and presentations, to ensure transparency, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. -
CMA Communication:
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, including the Capital Market Authority (CMA) or equivalent. Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory filings, reports, and disclosures in accordance with market regulations. Prepare and manage official communications with the CMA, addressing any queries or compliance-related matters. -
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the company adheres to all regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards, acting as a key point of contact for compliance-related issues. Monitor legal and regulatory changes and ensure the organization is in full compliance. -
Board Meeting Oversight:
Facilitate smooth operations for board meetings, including agenda setting, minute recording, and ensuring follow-up on action items. Ensure that all documentation and procedures align with governance standards and company policies. -
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders (including investors, analysts, and regulators) to support business objectives, enhance communication strategies, and maintain strong governance structures.
Essential Skills and Competencies for an IR & Governance Manager

Strategic Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex financial and governance-related information to diverse audiences. -
Analytical Abilities:
Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data, market trends, and regulatory updates to inform investment strategies and governance practices. -
Corporate Governance Expertise:
In-depth understanding of corporate governance principles, regulatory frameworks, and best practices, including familiarity with the regulatory requirements imposed by bodies like the CMA. -
Relationship Management:
Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with investors, board members, regulators, and other key stakeholders. -
Attention to Detail:
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure compliance and effective record-keeping, particularly when interacting with regulatory bodies like the CMA.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in investor relations, corporate governance, or a related field, particularly within publicly traded companies.
- Proven experience in a listed company is highly desirable, especially familiarity with regulatory filings, investor communications, and compliance procedures specific to listed entities.
- Experience with CMA or equivalent regulatory bodies, including familiarity with financial reporting and compliance requirements, is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with financial analysis, reporting, and communication practices is a plus.
- Certification in governance or investor relations (e.g., IR Society, Governance Institute) is desirable.
